Addiction Recovery Resources, Inc. is led by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of well trained and highly credentialed addiction treatment professionals with over 100 years of combined experience in the addiction and behavioral health fields. Our mission and philosophy are our guidelines for patient care. We are a committed group of professionals with core beliefs that drive our daily spirit in treating addiction.
Our Core Beliefs:
- Addiction is a chronic disease of the brain that can be overcome with treatment and participation in a recovery program.
- Recovery is possible for all addicts and alcoholics.
- Every patient walking through our doors is an individual.
- Tailoring a treatment plan for each individual’s recovery process is a differentiator of Addiction Recovery Resources, Inc.
- Addiction is not a lack of willpower, or a shameful disorder.
- Addiction is not a moral weakness.
We understand that while addiction may exhibit similar signs and symptoms within a group, each patient’s experience with drugs and alcohol is different. In some cases, medical and/or mental health disorders including ADHD, anxiety, depression, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other psychiatric diagnoses may also be present in a patient and must be treated concurrently with substance abuse to achieve optimal results. The “one size fits all approach” does not work. Therefore, our programs are personalized to meet patients where they are in their addiction and planned with the highest regard for the needs of patients and their families.
Together, Staff and Patient Help Repair What Was Lost.
Addiction impairs social relationships and has devastating effects on the entire family system. Treatment at Addiction Recovery Resources, Inc. is designed to renew and improve the addicted individual’s relationships with self, family, support systems and society. Led by Medical Director A. Kenison Roy, III, M.D., FASAM, a treatment team of nationally-recognized, licensed and addiction-certified physicians and staff manage programs that heal the physical, mental and spiritual dimensions of addictive diseases including:
- Dual Diagnoses
- Illicit Drug Use
- Prescription Drug Use
We have staffing and referral relationships with selected inpatient behavioral health hospitals across south Louisiana. We help to support this network by offering the greater New Orleans area’s only comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction treatment consisting of a complete continuum of care to meet the needs of each patient at the current stage of their disease:
- Ambulatory Detoxification and/or Inpatient detox at a nearby acute care facility
- Residential Treatment Program
- Intensive Outpatient Program
- Transitional Living
- Continuing Care
- Medication Management
- Professional Evaluations
- Psychological Testing
- Supervised Drug Testing
This continuum of care allows us to gauge the stage of addiction and provide the level of treatment needed by the patient. The care is supervised by a staff of 3 physicians Board Certified and 1 physician Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine with additional certifications in Psychiatry, Neurology and Family Practice. Such a continuum provides for a patient and their family. It allows, where clinically appropriate, a patient to maintain employment and attend our outpatient drug or alcohol treatment program in the evening or to take a leave of absence to complete an inpatient residential program. We also can assist some patients with a safe clinical environment after they have graduated from one of our programs, but whose personal circumstances may benefit from living at our facility while returning to work. This allows some to benefit from a safe therapeutic community before returning to their previous homes and work environments.
